You might be wondering about the name. It’s a tribute to a beloved family member, my Aunt LynnKay. She discovered this vintage beauty tucked away in a garage, and from that moment on, it became a part of her life—a source of joy and the centerpiece of countless shared adventures.
Family outings in LynnKay were legendary. We squeezed as many family members as possible into this four-passenger Mustang. It got a little cozy at times, but no one ever complained when Aunt LynnKay was behind the wheel.
I made a promise to my Aunt LynnKay and Tracy—if the Mustang ever went up for sale, they wouldn’t have to look any further. After Aunt Lynn passed in 2014, my cousin took the reins. He embarked on countless road trips and spent endless hours under the hood, including a full engine rebuild and some high-octane upgrades.
Then, in 2020, my cousin gave me the chance to own this iconic piece of our family history. My wife jokes that it was the fastest she’d ever seen me part with money. In my Ford-loving household, the Mustang was a natural addition.
